GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide (D-Ala-D-2-Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) that stimulates GH release through the ghrelin/GHS receptor. It is approved in Japan as a diagnostic agent for GH deficiency 1.
In postmenopausal women, GHRP-2 infusion interacted with GHRH and other regulators of the GH/IGF-1 axis, illustrating its role as a pharmacological probe of pituitary GH regulation 2.
