Thymalin is a peptide preparation derived from calf thymus, developed at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is proposed to restore thymus-dependent immune function that declines with age.

Thymalin activates differentiation of human haematopoietic stem cells in vitro 1. Long-term clinical observations reported geroprotective effects and reduced mortality in elderly patients receiving thymalin and epithalamin 23.
