HGH Fragment 176-191 is the 16-residue C-terminal segment of human growth hormone, the region identified as responsible for hGH's lipolytic activity. It is the parent sequence of the stabilised analogue AOD-9604.
Molecular and cellular studies of this domain showed that it stimulates lipolysis and inhibits lipogenesis in adipocytes through mechanisms independent of the GH receptor and without the insulin-antagonising effects of full-length hGH 12.
