Eloralintide is a selective, long-acting amylin receptor agonist designed to avoid the calcitonin-receptor activity of earlier amylin analogues. Preclinical characterisation describes potent, selective amylin-receptor engagement with once-weekly pharmacokinetics 2.

In a 48-week phase 2 trial, eloralintide produced dose-dependent weight change up to approximately −20% at the highest dose tested, with predominantly gastrointestinal adverse events 1.
